The Revista de Estudios y Experiencias en Educación (REXE) implements protocols and services that allow integration with external systems, repositories, databases and indexing tools, ensuring the correct exposure of metadata, the traceability of content and compatibility with national and international academic information infrastructures. It also applies protocols to guarantee the digital preservation of its content.

The Revista de Estudios y Experiencias en Educación (REXE) is part of the Public Knowledge Project's Private LOCKSS Network (PKP-PLN), which creates a fully decentralised system distributed among a number of collaborating libraries, in order to create permanent archives of the journal and, through these, to preserve the original content and allow its restoration should this be necessary.

In addition, the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, as the publishing body, has established internal processes for the synchronous backup of the journal's content on redundant servers.
